Airport to the venue
The airport is about 8 miles from the Hawaii Convention Center. Drivers take H-1 East to Nimitz Highway for about 6 miles, then Atkinson Drive, Kapiolani Avenue and Kalakaua Avenue. Source

At Terminal 1, ride app pickup is outside Baggage Claim 6. At Terminal 2, it is on the median between Baggage Claims 19 and 20 and on the median across from Baggage Claim 31. Source

Taxis are on the center median in front of the terminal baggage claim areas, with dispatchers in yellow shirts. AMPCO Express manages the airport's Open Taxi System, which the state set up so drivers from all taxi companies can pick up there. Source

Skyline rail serves Lelepaua Station between the International and Terminal 2 parking garages. TheBus W Line runs from Ala Onaona Street through downtown and Ala Moana Center to Waikiki, and a HOLO card is required on Skyline. Source

Parking. The garage closed beginning January 5, 2026 for a two-year renovation and is used for construction staging. Weekend event stalls may be available case by case, and the venue points to Premium Parking for off-site options. Source
Transit. The venue directs riders to TheBus at thebus.org or (808) 848-5555 for routes. The center is also a Biki bikeshare stop. Source
Closest lodging. Meet Hawaii says properties near Ala Moana Center are about a 10-minute walk and the Royal Hawaiian Hotel about 20 minutes. Waikiki and Ala Moana area hotels range from 10 to 30 minutes on foot. Source
