Airports

Airport to the venue

The Javits Center is one block from the 34th St-Hudson Yards station on the 7 train, which connects to every line through Manhattan. Taxis and rideshares also reach the center. Source

Rideshare

At JFK, follow the signs after baggage claim. Pickup is usually in front of the terminal, but check the app, since Terminal 5 and 7 pickups have moved to the Howard Beach AirTrain Station during construction. At LaGuardia, use the Ride App Pick Up signs across the street at Terminal A, Level 2 of the garage at Terminal B, and the arrivals inner lane at Terminal C. Source

Taxis

Use official airport taxi stands and do not accept rides from people soliciting in the terminal. NYC taxis are regulated by the Taxi & Limousine Commission, and each should show a visible TLC license and working meter. Source

Black car and SUV pickup

Booked cars meet riders in each airport's ground transportation pickup area, and signs lead there. At LaGuardia, that is the Car Services signs across the street at Terminal A, Level 1 of the garage at Terminal B, and the arrivals inner lane at Terminal C. Newark's list combines car, van and shuttle operators. Source

From an official list, in the order shown there. It may not be complete, and listing a company is not an endorsement. Check current fares with the operator.

Public transit

At JFK, AirTrain connects the terminals to the Long Island Rail Road and the subway. Source

Questions worth asking there

A claim at a show is a starting point. These questions help you test it.

  • Was the benchmark or detection rate run on the buyer's kind of data, or on a vendor-picked set?
  • Which customer deployments back the claim, and can a reference be contacted directly?
  • Has an independent lab, auditor or open test reproduced the result?
  • What breaks, and how is it reported, when the system is wrong?
