Questions worth asking there

A claim at a show is a starting point. These questions help you test it.

• If a product claims to stop a specific attack, what independent test or public result shows that, and who ran it?
• What false positive rate has been measured in production, and on what volume of events?
• Which claims were tested against current attacker techniques rather than a scripted demo?
• What access and data does the tool need, and what happens if the vendor itself is breached?
